My name is Kerrianne Burch, and I have been teaching in the Twin Falls area since 2009 after moving here from Arizona. I graduated from Brigham Young University, Provo in 1999 with my degree in Elementary Education and promptly took the subsequent 10 years off to bear and raise five children. My husband of 25 years is my MVP, supporting me in all ways when it comes to my teaching. I am thrilled to be back in the classroom, teaching and especially love sharing my experience in technology, music, and movement into my lessons and classes. I have taught 4th grade, Kindergarten, First grade, and for the past 4 years, I’ve taught Music! I loved it so much! This year, I am transitioning back to Kindergarten and am excited beyond all reason to be back in the General Education classroom! I am eager to begin teaching reading and math again, and look forward to it immensely! I love coming to work everyday, and work with a great staff here at Pillar Falls.

I am so excited to be working with the Pillar Falls community this year. I graduated from BYU-Idaho with an elementary education degree in 2009. I quickly got a job teaching 6th grade and loved every minute of it. After four years of teaching, I took some time at home raising my four kiddos. In 2020 I reentered the profession. Outside of school I enjoy taking piano lessons, reading, crossfit, and spending time with my family.

Hi, my name is Jenny Shaw and I am the Pillar Falls Counselor. I transitioned from elementary teaching to elementary counseling in 2016 and have loved the move ever since. Working with individual students and whole classes is a wonderful opportunity to help our younger generations with coping skills, self-regulation, and social skills. I truly love working with my Pillar Falls’ students, families, and staff. When I am not at work, I love playing video games, camping, and working in my yard. I love spending time with my family and doing all things families do together. A future goal of mine, is to have a therapy dog that I can work with at school to help young students with calming strategies and relieving stress. One of my favorite quotes is from Winnie the Pooh, by A.A. Milne; “Promise me you’ll always remember that you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.”
